Let's play a new house.
The first collaboration of Jägermann & Zuckermann which worked so well that it inspired them to form their band. The subtly shifting bassline is actually based on a typical Salsa piano ground (an echo of Jägermann’s Cuban studies) and comes along with that irresistible swing only a real “ritmo sudamericano” can have. Zuckermann disguised its origins in a compelling synth sound creation of his own, then chose a lot of percus-sive ado, mixing Cuban and typical House patterns to form a uniquely driving emphasis in a rather subtle manner. Rocked every floor so far!
The Federleicht remix takes the original idea to an even more abstract level and surprises us with a slowish Dubstep derivation. This is particularly astonishing, since this uprising project of Wareika’s singer Florian usually stands for deeper House and sometimes even electronic Pop explorations. Which does only but underline their musical versatility and originality of course.
While Patriarca's remix is a masterpiece of (subtle) reduction and dramaturgy, focusing on the main part of the bassline and developing it into an irresistible, yet darkly elegant Tech-house monster which will not only fit into many Dj sets but also rock practically every conceivable floor (and street) on the planet – (gear) shifting!
