"auf die fresse" hardtekk sucks in most cases, and I like smooth music, too - e.g. your doomsday clock album. But this release just isn't my cup of tea, although it sounds like hawkins - what i actually like. Maybe the extracts are not that good. They just don't make me say "wow" if you know what I mean.
For me, music either has to transport energy or feelings - and no offense - this two attributes don't reach my ears in this case. Just my subjective sensation

i think this kind of music is nice.. but it's a little bit to slow for me, because i like the drifty sound in other productions like this... the track on site b is a good example for this.
sorry this section of the board is populated with people demanding more of music than just some bleeps and sine waves upon triplette bar rhythms run through effect chains. UNCHANGED. ok. the magic in minimal comes from minor changes over a long period of time. moreover we dont want hard tekk either because this is as dumb as this release.
ok not completely dumb because
the hobo remix has some nice parts in it for example the bleeps run reversly. this is cool but done way better in the new slidebar001.
so it is not a total fatal error because the mixing of the FEW elements is done fine, too but it is not an excellent record. frankly speaking it is below the average of the released minimal techno records of the past 10 to 20 years.
to be honest this was not the thought of minimal.
please do your homework and have a listen to this tune!

I also think that this release is just a cookie-cutter. (and i don't like crtl alt del and such stuff)

a1: this is very boring wannabe minimal, which doesn't understand the true sense of minimal techno...just like tons of other minimal tracks released out there.
a2: is an OK track...not too bad...but nothing special.
b side: is another standard copy cat...sorry to say. go to your local recordstore or turn on the computer and listen online to some records..this is like 1000000000000 other medicore tracks out there.
overall the record has absolutely no soul, no emotion..no love . it sounds very much like a random boring minimal techno record which nobody needs. (oh and..yes i like minimal techno normally and buy minimal techno records).
btw: calling fans of your record "meth-heads" is really lame man. sounds like u think u don't need them anymore and now think you can just spit in their face.
moreover, we do not insult you. we know that you can make much better music, like you did in the past, for example on KCR, which was also not that hard, but way better produced with more ideas.
so please do not take it personally when we tell you our opionion on a certain record!

this thread is like a car crash that i know I shouldn't look at, but I can't help but glance and see an arm hanging out of the window..
I really find it funny how seriously you all take this, and to be honest, it puts the opinions into perspective...
the "meth head" comment was just a kidding around comment, I mean, C'mon, like I'm really going to call people meth heads when they are not? and besides, it seems when I play at parties in germany, especially in the east, looking at the people, who just want it harder and faster, are you suprised that I end up with the opinion that there are many many very fucked up people there? and would you be suprised at the fact that I don't want to be around that any more, and that people who diss my stuff might well be these same people?
from your replies here I get the feeling that you all think that when someone doesn't fit to your idea of what music should be they should get a damn good pasting, and learn their lesson for not doing what everyone should expect, and because they are the fans, they deserve that, I mean, c'mon...

I never made the record to sound like every other minimal record, or to make money or anything like that, I was just making whatever in the studio, if you don't like it, don't buy it, but is there really any need to go on saying "oh it's shit, oh it's a minimal copycat that we don't need, oh he's doing it for the money"
anyway, keep posting, you'll keep the thread at the top, more people will see it, and more people will check it out, and (maybe) more people will buy it..

I think I'm going to be grounded for a few weeks now until my grades improve
why should u take my comment seriously and think about it. ofc i am just hating it for the sake of it....what else. i mean...the ones who love it...are the true people the ones who always say yes no matter what...the ones who dislike it and try to give u honest opinions and comments are just hating it for the sake of it...standard.
and the other producers who maybe also have great producing skills like chiptronic does...they obiously have no clue. btw: listen to that hood track...its from 94...it just destroys when u compare it to your record.
i tell u what...if u always treated all negative comments like that in the past its no wonder u bring out such a record.
btw: i never wanted to sound personal or something like that..i am just trying to give my honest impressions on this record. it seems like you take the things here to personal. its a thread about a product...we discuss here about the quality of the product.

ist was wahres dran, mich erschuttert auch die tatsache das die leute es immer mit dem vorschlaghammer ins gesicht haben wollen...immmer wieder härter und schneller.
momentan brauch mann doch echt nur noch mit ner drummaschine und nen distorion effekt im klub auftauchen, 150-160bpm fertig...oder wie die superacts,4 korgs und nen micro .
sehr schlechte entwicklung und anspruchsloses publikum !
die gong generation, eine sehr sehr traurig die entwicklung !
